Project Background & Description

Due to the driver set of HTML, CSS, and JS implementations across browsers web development can be a pain to test. Typically, web developers are forced to choose between utilizing real-time browser-dependent editors or testing multiple browsers separately without the option of rendering edits in real time. Obviously, neither of these choices is optimal. In fact, they both have significant adverse effects on productivity making it far more tedious than it should have to be to check your website’s progress. In an attempt to reduce this problem, we are developing a Cross-Browser Editor called the XBrowser. Our goal is to provide the ability to test for multiple browsers in real time, improving developer productivity as well as making web development easier to test. If successful, the end user will be able to use the XBrowser to watch their changes update various browsers in real time, simultaneously.
